The project
LIMITED EDITION BOX SET VINTAGE WOOD LACQUER
The one-centimetre-thick wood is combined with the rigour of an exceptional vintage. The front plate is silk-screened to maintain the finesse of the identity. Gold-plated hinges and plates add richness and contrast. Inside, a high-density foam covered with a fine black velvet ensures a perfect wedge and protection of the bottle and its wooden stopper.
The challenge
The glossy stained lacquer of the wood is reminiscent of the vanilla pods whose aroma characterises the 1982 vintage. The thickness of the lacquer gives it an extremely smooth appearance without making the wood grain disappear.
